I can definitely relate to the "touch overload" thing. I remember one time I took an edible, and thought it was a dud after 2 hours; rookie mistake, I know. I started smoking a few bowls out of my pipe to try and make up for the edible, but I think that might have ended up activating the edible (I don't know if that's a thing). For whatever reason, my pipe started to feel really sharp to me, like it was the jagged edge of a cheese grater or something. I said aaaaaaaaaaah and dropped it into the ashtray in slow motion. That wasn't a fun night.
